Absolutely yes. An SDC server can collect data for many different websites. The key question about capacity of a single SDC server is NOT the number of different sites it is collecting data for. It is the number of hits per second, or possibly the number of simultaneous users (connections) happening on all the sites together. I'm not sure. I've never run in to SDC server capacity issues.

You can put the same SDC tag on several websites. You can also create different SDC tags (different "DCS IDs") and put each separate tag on each different web site.

In the first case above, you'll have data for all sites in one SDC log- very handy if your site actually is a bunch of different sites that the visitor moves around in.

In the second case, each site's (each tag's) data will go into different logs. Each log file's name is based on the DCS ID. This is probably what you are referring to.

The WebTrends Customer Center has an SDC manual that gets into all of this. This page leads to a lot of the documentation: http://www.webtrends.com/support/mla8gen.aspx

Sorry, the formatter changed my text. The first sentence should be:

The hit will get recorded as a hit to a file called /nojavascript which will show up as a page view as long as you have no-extension files set to be defined as pages.
